About

Laura Evans is back with new big anthemic track FREE from her successful debut album “State of Mind”

2022 has been a standout year for Laura Evans with the release of her critically acclaimed debut album ‘State of Mind’ released July 1st, which topped the iTunes Blues chart at number 1, made her the face of the ‘Nu Blue’ editorial playlist on Spotify, received praise from blues legend Joe Bonamassa, as well as continued support on the BBC Welsh A List and Planet Rock and rave reviews by music press all over the country. The album has now racked up over 700,000 streams on Spotify.

Talking about the inspiration behind the track, Laura says, "I started writing this song as a little pep talk to myself one day when I was jamming some melodies with my partner and co-writer Rich Turner” she explains –“It’s basically an anthem to remind you to stay true to yourself and stay in your own lane, the chorus melody came very quickly and felt very empowering to sing”

Blues/Rock with a touch of country. Laura’s soulful vocals are accompanied with atmospheric production, big uplifting, anthemic chorus with a more philosophical lyric that is rooting for the listener to stay in their own lane.  Recorded and produced by Josiah J Manning, at Momentum Studios who produced Laura’s whole album, this creative dream team continue to push the boundaries across genres, appealing to the masses with a unique blues/rock sound that really is making Laura stand out amongst the crowd.

Laura toured as special guest with Californian southern rock band ‘Robert Jon & The Wreck’ on their sell out UK Tour in April this year and her live performances have been described as a ‘girl who is the real deal’ “Laura Evans has a stunning voice and the range of styles within the album shows she has a mastery of a range of blues- influenced approaches she is making her own”

Laura has just toured as special guest with Welsh rock band “Cardinal Black” on their UK tour in September and will go on to join Canadian Blues artist “Matt Andersen” on his UK sell-out in October before her own headline tour in February 2023
